3D Print Quote Calculator: from uploaded model to production-ready Shopify order.
A Shopify-approved application built around a process I knew first-hand: inspect a customer's 3D file, calculate a defensible price, complete checkout, and keep the production file attached to the order workflow.
Problem
Custom 3D-print orders often begin with a slow manual exchange: receive a model, inspect it, estimate material and setup cost, answer questions, create an order, and later find the correct production file again.
Redesigned Process
The customer uploads a model, receives a visual and priced configuration, adds the quote to Shopify checkout, and the merchant receives both the order details and the original file needed for production.
My Role
I reconstructed the real operating rules, defined the workflow and acceptance criteria, directed AI-assisted implementation, tested edge cases, refined onboarding and took the app through Shopify review.
